Whistler Sable is a large scale woven plaid in charcoal, dark brown, camel, and cream. The yarns are nubby and boucle like, so the bands cross in soft, grainy blocks instead of hard lines, and the whole cloth has the feel of a heavy winter coat.

It is an upholstery fabric rated to 20,000 double rubs, ready for daily furniture use: bench cushions, ottomans, pillows, window seats. It comes 56 inches wide with the plaid running up the roll. Dry clean only.

Sold by the yard, cut to order.

About the Line

Wooded River started in 1998 as a small clothing company in Idaho's Treasure Valley, named for the Boise River ("Boise" is French for wooded). The garment work grew into blankets and, before long, full bedding collections. The landscape has set the palette the whole time.

Every piece is still made to order. A single throw for a cabin or bedding for a national park lodge, sewn either way by hands that have worked those tables for 20 years or more.
