Laura Rose has been in the interior design field for nearly 20 years and thrives on creating designs that suit her clients' style in ways they never dreamed possible. She earned a Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design and has worked on upscale projects from New York to Los Angeles to London. She excels at getting to know her customers and translating that into a design that is unique to them. Understanding her clients will thoroughly enjoy their space drives Laura’s passion for interior design. Her experience extends to residential and commercial design. Combining strong space planning skills with excellent color sense, Laura’s most rewarding projects have been renovating or building complete homes and applying her vision.

She loves being outdoors, participating in silent sports and enjoying nature with her husband and three children.

Ashley is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Stout, where she earned her BFA in Interior Design. With multiple years of design experience already under her belt, she brings fresh perspective, creativity, and an eagerness to continue growing in the field. Her background in customer service and furniture sales gives her a well-rounded understanding of client needs and product knowledge, which she draws on to deliver thoughtful, practical solutions.

Adaptable and detail-oriented, Ashley enjoys projects that challenge her creativity and require problem-solving. She is inspired by creating timeless spaces that bring lasting joy to clients, and her design style reflects her Northwoods upbringing, with influences of rustic, farmhouse, and transitional aesthetics. Skilled in space planning, collaboration, and critical thinking, she thrives on turning vision into reality while ensuring every detail feels intentional.

Outside of design, Ashley enjoys hiking and traveling with her boyfriend or unwinding with a good book.

With nearly 30 years in the interior design and construction industry, Mike brings an impressive combination of skill and experience to his work as a project manager and design consultant.

Always inspired by a challenge, he most enjoys working with clients to explore, experiment, and fine tune details until the desired result is achieved, and working on complex projects where multiple trades coordinate to bring the design to life. An expert in custom cabinetry and millwork, he’s a magician at maximizing the efficiency of even the most difficult spaces, and thrives on working out the more complex details in cabinetry and millwork designs.

In his free time, Mike’s at home working on his house and landscaping, and spending time with his wife and college-aged twins when they are home from school.

Emily brings extensive design experience along with a strong background in customer service to her role at Roughing It In Style. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Design and Art from UW–Green Bay, and her career includes years in furniture, kitchen and bath design, and client-focused service. This combination gives her both technical expertise and a deep understanding of how to create spaces that meet each client’s needs.

She thrives on projects that encourage creativity and problem-solving. From using textiles to create visual interest with color and pattern, to cabinetry design that satisfies her love of order and detail, Emily enjoys the wide variety of projects she encounters. Eclectic in her style, she often incorporates sentimental pieces and blends textures, new and old, to create spaces that feel both refreshed and personal. Known for her eye for color and pattern and her attention to detail, Emily ensures every project is both beautiful and functional.

Outside of work, Emily is happiest near the water and loves photographing nature and wildlife. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets, and most of her hobbies revolve around creativity, from drawing and painting to quilting.

Born and raised in the South, Leslie's journey took her from Atlanta to LA before settling in Colorado. With a keen eye for beauty and a detail-oriented approach, she pursued a career in interior design. As our lead in kitchen and bath designer out west, Leslie excels at creating custom barnwood cabinetry and collaborating with clients to craft personalized spaces.

Leslie has worked in interior design, architecture, kitchen & bath design, music, and photography. Her background includes collaborating with custom home builders and architects on residential and commercial projects, as well as owning small businesses that showcased her creative and photography skills.

Leslie holds degrees in Interior Design, Architectural Drafting, Kitchen and Bath Design, and Music Performance.

Leslie loves spending time with her sons and poodles, cooking, exploring nature, volunteering, rescuing dogs, attending concerts, playing bassoon in a local symphony, and practicing photography. Her warm personality and strong work ethic make her a delight to work with.

Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, Vicki brings a wealth of experience from design projects across the country. She finds inspiration in the West, where the textures, shapes, light, and colors of the landscape capture the true spirit of American design. For Vicki, every project begins with listening. By understanding her clients’ goals and personal needs, she collaborates with them to create innovative solutions that are both functional and beautiful. The result is a space that feels authentic, welcoming, and worth sharing.

With a degree in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, Vicki’s background spans architecture, interior design, material selection, space planning, furniture design, lighting, art, and décor. Whether guiding a large-scale build or refining the details of a single room, she combines creativity and technical expertise to craft spaces that balance vision with practicality.

Brenda is a talented artist and designer with over 30 years of experience in retail, design, and sales. Her artistic vision enables her to create beautiful, functional spaces by skillfully blending textures, fabrics, and colors. She is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and accommodating various design needs, whether clients require a single art piece or a comprehensive design plan.

In today's fast-paced world, Brenda emphasizes the importance of surrounding ourselves with well-curated environments that foster peace and well-being. She firmly believes in embracing life's fleeting nature and finding joy in the spaces we inhabit daily, ultimately enhancing our overall life experience.

Brenda's passion for creating beauty goes beyond her design projects. In her free time, she enjoys painting, tending to her flower gardens, and giving new life to old furniture and accessories.
