Product Details

Zarape is a woven serape stripe in turquoise, chocolate brown, tan, and cream. Fine graded stripes shade from one band into the next the way a Mexican zarape blanket does, and cream bands carry small stepped cross medallions in dark brown. The wool blend yarns give it a soft, blanket like hand.

It is an upholstery fabric rated to 27,000 double rubs, ready for daily furniture use: bench cushions, ottomans, pillows, window seats. It comes 60 inches wide and is railroaded, so long pieces cut without seams. Machine wash it cold and tumble dry on low heat.

About the Line

Wooded River started in 1998 as a small clothing company in Idaho's Treasure Valley, named for the Boise River ("Boise" is French for wooded). The garment work grew into blankets and, before long, full bedding collections. The landscape has set the palette the whole time.

Every piece is still made to order. A single throw for a cabin or bedding for a national park lodge, sewn either way by hands that have worked those tables for 20 years or more.
