Alpine Stripe is an Italian-woven wool blend striped like a camp blanket: fine, even bands of navy, brick red, slate blue, and cream over a heathered gray-brown ground. It reads tailored up close and warm across a room.

It is an upholstery fabric rated to 27,000 double rubs, ready for daily furniture use: bench cushions, ottomans, pillows, window seats. The cloth is 60 inches wide and railroaded, so long pieces cut without seams. It machine washes in cold water.

Sold by the yard, cut to order.

About the Line

Wooded River started in 1998 as a small clothing company in Idaho's Treasure Valley, named for the Boise River ("Boise" is French for wooded). The garment work grew into blankets and, before long, full bedding collections. The landscape has set the palette the whole time.

Every piece is still made to order. A single throw for a cabin or bedding for a national park lodge, sewn either way by hands that have worked those tables for 20 years or more.
