Backcountry Ashen is a solid in smoky gray-brown, the color of ash and weathered bark, with a soft brushed face. Solids do the quiet work in a room, and this one is built for it.

It is rated to 100,000 double rubs, far past what daily furniture use demands, and non-directional, so cutting wastes nothing. The cloth is 57 inches wide. It machine washes in cold water.

Sold by the yard, cut to order.

About the Line

Wooded River started in 1998 as a small clothing company in Idaho's Treasure Valley, named for the Boise River ("Boise" is French for wooded). The garment work grew into blankets and, before long, full bedding collections. The landscape has set the palette the whole time.

Every piece is still made to order. A single throw for a cabin or bedding for a national park lodge, sewn either way by hands that have worked those tables for 20 years or more.
