Navajo American Flag Leather Pillow

Navajo weavers have been making flag textiles since the late 19th century, the stars and stripes worked in the natural-dye palette of the loom rather than the bright synthetics of a factory flag. This version holds the star field at upper left in deep indigo with cream stars, the stripes done in rust, ochre, and brown. Printed on genuine chamois leather, bordered in cognac faux suede with a hickory brown leather frame in real or faux, welt and back in cognac suede. A handcrafted leather pillow for a study, a guest bedroom, or a sunroom.
