Product Details

The Santa Fe Las Lunas is a hand-knotted rug built around two large stepped diamonds, one above the other. Each diamond holds a rust red step-diamond with a cream center, outlined in black, and small black triangles are scattered across the open field.

The field is cream and light taupe, and a solid black border frames the whole rug. The pattern is symmetrical top to bottom and side to side, so it reads the same from either end of the room.

About the Line

Southwest Looms is a boutique rug maker based in Durham, North Carolina, focused on high-end handmade rugs known for distinctive design and rich color. It is the official licensee for Pendleton® Woolen Mills, weaving three Pendleton collections drawn from the mill's historic trade blanket patterns, alongside five collections in its own designs.

Each line is made by hand in its own way: hand-knotted Pendleton Reserve, hand-tufted Pendleton Classic, flatwoven Dreamcatcher, and Santa Fe rugs knotted from New Zealand wool in a dense Tibetan weave. Every one carries the look of a trade blanket or a Southwest weaving, made to anchor a cabin, lodge, or cottage room.
