This is the lantern for the outside wall: beside the front door, at the garage, along a covered walk. A cylinder of glass, 8 inches tall and 6 across, sits inside a rustic steel band at the top and bottom, and the light comes through the glass with no cutout to shadow it. Rustic plain is the point here. It is the plain piece that lights the step.
It is UL listed for wet locations, so it takes direct rain on an open wall. One A19 bulb at up to 100 watts, on a 4.5 inch square backplate that covers a standard exterior box. It stands 17 inches tall and projects 12 inches from the wall.
